Pedestrian Killed In Crash ID'd As 71-Year-Old Huntington Beach Man
The crash happened at about 6:25 a.m. and involved a F250 pickup truck, police said.
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA — A 71-year-old man was killed in Huntington Beach when he was fatally struck by a pickup truck Monday, police said.
The crash was reported at about 6:25 a.m. at Springdale Street and Brannen Drive.
71-year-old Kurt George Nickel, of Huntington Beach, was killed in the crash, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

A 37-year-old Huntington Beach man behind the wheel of an F250 pickup struck the pedestrian while driving north on Springdale, police said.
The driver cooperated with investigators and is not suspected of driving impaired, police said.
