🦸 Superpower Poll!
A 2018 survey found that Americans would love to have the superpower of healing others. If we take this one off the table, which superpower would you love to have? So far, 20 percent each pick the ability to time travel, become invisible, fly, teleport, or have superhuman strength.

📰 Here are the top stories in Orange County today:

  1. Ten days ago, a Lake Forest homeowner rented a room to a man. Before noon on Monday, this man crashed his gray KIA sedan into the property in the 22000 block of Robin Street. Reportedly, the man then grabbed a pickaxe, chased his roommates, and broke down the home’s door. Residents in the home tried to reason with the man, but getting the axe away from him took a “brief scuffle.” The police subdued and arrested him, but we don’t know the motive for this attack. (NBC)
  2. Disneyland in Anaheim wants to expand. Courting the city’s lawmakers, Disneyland President Ken Potrock cited a possible influx of “more than 4,500 jobs (and) $11 million in tax revenue.” Also, he noted that an expansion could give Anaheim “more than $1 billion... for every billion dollars spent over the 4-year construction process.” Why the pitch? It appears that existing zoning laws aren’t on the park’s side. Back in the 1990s, rules were established to limit which parts of Disney-owned real estate could be allocated to rides, hospitality, and retail. Neighbors should look for invitations to town hall meetings. (MSN)
  3. Michael Block is an instructor at Mission Viejo’s Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club. When playing in the PGA Championship on Sunday, he hit the perfect hole-in-one from the tee at the 15th hole at the tough Oak Hill Country Club course in Rochester, New York. Did he win the tournament? No. But this shot was a once-in-a-lifetime event that will be remembered for decades to come. (Times of San Diego)
  4. Punk in the Park is coming to Oak Canyon Park in Silverado this November! For Generation X, this is a must-attend. The lineup so far includes: “Pennywise, Descendents, Circle Jerks, Goldfinger, The Suicide Machines, The Lawrence Arms, The Dwarves, Rotting Out, A Wilhelm Scream, The Queers, Deviates, We Are the Union, Good Guys in Black and Rundown Kreeps.” The price tag is also in keeping with Gen X wallets and wants; $120 for general admission, but extra if you’d like some shade and upgraded restroom areas. (Celebrity Access)
  5. If you plan to get out of Dodge this Memorial Day weekend, AAA has some advice to help you avoid the worst of the expected traffic jams. The experts say to “avoid traveling from 3-6 p.m. on both Thursday and Friday.” Leave before 1 p.m. or noon instead. When returning, “noon-3 p.m. Monday and 4-6 p.m. Tuesday” are the busiest. Hit the road before 10 a.m. on Monday or 2 p.m. on Tuesday. Also, the I-5 to San Diego is going to be bumper to bumper, and if you’re coming home from Las Vegas, expect the I-15 to be a parking lot. You have been warned! (Patch)
