Woman Charged In Hit-And-Run Involving 2 Children In OC
A woman was charged Wednesday with causing a hit-and-run collision in Tustin while she was out on bail.
TUSTIN, CA — A woman was charged Wednesday with causing a hit-and-run collision in Tustin while she was out on bail in a possession of drugs and identity theft case.
Kimberly Anne Schroder was charged with failure to stop at a hit-and- run with injury, a felony, and misdemeanor counts of possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. She also faces a sentencing enhancement for committing a crime while out on bail, according to court records.
The two-car collision happened about 1 p.m. Friday at Diamond Head Drive and Bryan Avenue, according to Tustin police Lt. Ryan Coe. A man and two 3-year-old boys were in the other vehicle, but they were not seriously injured, Coe said.

Schroder was out on bail in a case dating back to September 2022 on a felony count of possession of methamphetamine with the intent to sell and a misdemeanor count of identity theft, according to court records.
She allegedly ran away from the scene of Friday's crash, Coe said. Police quickly set up a perimeter and a sergeant spotted an Uber car in the area, which had Schroder inside, Coe said.
