Palm Desert Asks For Help For Homeless
This year's campaign runs through May 30 with proceeds benefiting the homeless in communities throughout the Coachella Valley.

The City of Palm Desert is encouraging area businesses, residents, and visitors to participate in the second annual Help for Homeless campaign.
This year’s campaign runs through May 30 with proceeds benefiting the homeless in communities throughout the Coachella Valley.
During the campaign, residents are asked to add a $1 donation to purchases made at participating Help for Homeless businesses.

Participating businesses in Palm Desert include the City’s own Desert Willow Golf Resort, which raised hundreds of dollars for the homeless during last year’s campaign.
Chronic homelessness is a serious problem in Riverside County and throughout our region. The troubled economy has triggered a rise in homelessness not seen since the Great Depression.

Because of this, the traditional “face” of the homeless has changed with many families, young children, and seniors on the street and in need of necessities.
The City of Palm Desert is teaming with the Coachella Valley Association of Governments and other desert cities to address this serious problem.
One hundred percent of Help for Homeless donations go directly to support Coachella Valley transitional shelters and facilities that serve the homeless. Every Help for Homeless donation can make a difference.
