Trapped Victims Freed From I-10 Wreck In Chiriaco Summit
Two people trapped in the wreckage of a crash between a sedan and a trailer were freed by firefighters Saturday.
CHIRIACO SUMMIT, CA — A sedan crashed into a trailer being hauled by another vehicle on Interstate 10 Saturday, trapping two motorists.
The crash was reported at about 11:10 a.m. on the eastbound side of the freeway near Hayfield Road east of Chiriaco Summit, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
Firefighters successfully freed two people who were inside the sedan that became trapped in the wreckage.

Both people were conscious when first responders arrived, according to the California Highway Patrol.
At least one person was seriously injured, requiring an air ambulance to be summoned to the scene.
