• Suspected 'Prowler' Targets Petaluma Home; Police Seek Public's Help (patch.com) — Petaluma residents are being urged to check security footage and secure their homes after a suspected prowler tried to access a backyard on Daniel Drive and a kitchen window was found broken. Police released a description of the man and a possible dark-colored truck, and are asking anyone with information or video from Wednesday morning to contact officers or submit anonymous tips.
   

• King tides and winter runoff push Petaluma River to highest recorded level in decades (pressdemocrat.com) — Petaluma’s namesake river just hit its highest recorded level in nearly three decades, driven by powerful king tides and runoff from this week’s storm. While nearby Marin and coastal areas are seeing road closures and flooding, Petaluma officials haven’t issued river flood alerts yet, though more rain and elevated tides are expected through the weekend.
   

• SMART offers expanded service and better connections to meet growing demand (thecommunityvoice.com) — SMART has opened a new Petaluma station and plans to boost North Bay train service by 19% in mid-April 2026, meaning more frequent options for local commuters and students. With expanded pathways and free fares for seniors and youth, Petaluma riders will see better connections to jobs, schools, and recreation throughout Marin and Sonoma counties.
