Woman Caught Driving Stolen COVID Testing Van In Petaluma, Police Say
The van was reported stolen Feb. 23 from the factory outlets center where it had been parked for some time, police said.

PETALUMA, CA — A woman was arrested Sunday in Petaluma while driving a stolen mobile COVID testing van, the Petaluma Police Department said.
Shortly after 2:30 p.m. Sunday, an officer located the van that was reported stolen Feb. 23 from the factory outlets center, Petaluma police Lt. Garrett Glaviano said.
Officers performed a high-risk stop of the van in the 3100 block of Lakeville Highway and the female driver, later identified as 29-year-old Ashley Krausehull, was detained without incident, Glaviano said.

A records check revealed Krausehull was on multiple active probations and had three outstanding felony warrants.
There were no other people in the van, which was owned by a mobile COVID testing company and had been parked at the Outlets for some time, Glaviano said. The van — no COVID tests were in it when it was stolen — was orange but had been spray-painted white, the lieutenant said.

Police do not know whether Krausehull is the person who spray-painted the van.
Krausehull was ultimately arrested in accordance with the active warrants and was booked into Sonoma County jail on suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of burglary tools, providing a false name to a peace officer, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance.
A search of jail records Tuesday morning indicated Krausehull was no longer in custody.
