A motorcyclist was killed in a solo collision between Martinez and Hercules in Contra Costa County this evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The motorcyclist was reported down at 5:17 p.m. near the intersection of Franklin Canyon Road and Cummings Skyway, near state Highway 4, the CHP said.
The female rider suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, the CHP said.
