A Welcome Addition To The Neighborhood

City crews installed a much-anticipated stop sign at the corner of Elinora and Ardith last week, to replace the yield sign that was there before. 

Presently, that is the only new stop sign in the neighborhood, though Eric Hu, associate traffic engineer, said there would likely be others. 

"We're still looking at other locations," he said. "That one was first because of the urgency of the matter." 

The "urgency" was the unusual number of accidents at the intersection, because drivers were not stopping at Ardith, but rather cruising through the intersection rather than yielding.
