Let it be known that on Friday afternoon, December 5, 2025, Santa Claus “was in the house!” (Betty Miller)

Since 1971, TeleCare member volunteers have offered daily reassurance phone calls, free of charge, to homebound clients of all ages. Every Monday through Friday, volunteers and clients alike continue to enjoy friendly chats about such things as health, wellbeing, the weather and individual interests.

On Friday, December 5, after a sumptuous meal of holiday delights at Assistance League® Diablo Valley Office, Walnut Creek, TeleCare clients shared their Christmas memories, some of which were not always happy. The past time dessert of choice was “the pie.”

Much to the delight of the attendees, Santa Claus, without the benefit of a chimney, literally appeared shortly thereafter. Imagine everyone’s astonishment when he presented each client with a gift that reflected each one’s individual interest! He actually does know who’s been naughty or nice.
