New County Library Program Ensures Book Availability

Contra Costa Co.'s Lucky Day program offer patrons an opportunity to take home books that are typically unavailable due to their popularity

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY - A new program launched Wednesday at Contra Costa County libraries will offer patrons an opportunity to take home books that are typically unavailable due to their popularity, library officials said.

All 26 of the county’s libraries are participating in the Lucky Day program, which presents guests with an occasion to check out up to two best sellers and titles with long hold lists.

Each library location will have several copies of each book in the program’s collection available. Two books from the collection can be taken home per library card.
