New Farmers Market A Hit With Shoppers At Town Centre
Fresh fruit, vegetables are only the tip of the iceberg at Town Centre's weekly outdoor market.
The Town Centre Farmers Market opened for business on Wednesday with a ribbon cutting and a large contingent of local and regional farmers selling a variety of fruits, vegetables, flowers, prepared foods and other goodies.
The market, operated by the California Farmers Market, will be open each Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. In addition to vendors, the market will feature live music.
βWeβre really trying to create a place where the community can gather and socialize,β said Market Manager Karen Stiles. βThese markets help people find the food they want, but it also gives them a place to meet their neighbors, get some fresh air, and get back in touch with the simple things in life.βΒ
