New Farmers Market A Hit With Shoppers At Town Centre

The Town Centre Farmers Market opened for business on Wednesday with a ribbon cutting and a large contingent of local and regional farmers selling a variety of fruits, vegetables, flowers, prepared foods and other goodies.

The market, operated by the California Farmers Market, will be open each Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. In addition to vendors, the market will feature live music.

“We’re really trying to create a place where the community can gather and socialize,” said Market Manager Karen Stiles. “These markets help people find the food they want, but it also gives them a place to meet their neighbors, get some fresh air, and get back in touch with the simple things in life.”
