AMC Theaters Discount Tuesday: How To See A Movie For $5 In Pleasanton

AMC Bay Street, Brentwood, and more are showing movies for $5 this Tuesday.

PLEASANTON, CA — Here’s a twist on “shrinkflation” movie lovers can get behind: They’ll be able to see the latest releases for $5 and tax on “Discount Tuesdays” through October at AMC Theatres.

That includes films such as “Minions: The Rise of Gru,” “Top Gun: Maverick,” “Elvis,” “Jurassic World Dominion,” and others. Discounts may vary by location, the theater chain noted on its website.

The special discount price is for all showings, regardless of the time of day, on those Tuesdays. However, AMC applies surcharges for premium formats such as Dolby Cinema, IMAX, PRIME, RealD 3D and D- Box.

To take advantage of the discounts, however, moviegoers need to sign up for a free AMC Stubs Insider membership. Other perks members can get include free refills on large popcorn purchases, and deeply discounted prices for movie premiers.

The discounts are available even if tickets are purchased on third-party sites such as Fandango or Atom Tickets.
