Armed Robbery Suspect Arrested In Pleasanton: PPD
Police arrested a man they say robbed a Pleasanton store with an Airsoft rifle while on active parole.
PLEASANTON, CA — A 43-year-old Richmond man was arrested on charges of armed robbery at a Pleasanton store, according to the Pleasanton Police Department.
On Tuesday, July 9 at around 9:30 p.m., Pleasanton police received reports that a suspect had entered a CVS on the 3000 block of Bernal Avenue wearing a black ski mask and black clothing and carrying a rifle. Police say the suspect demanded money from the cash register, then dumped the till inside the duffel bag and fled the scene. Officers say they later found store employees locked in a back office.
Officers then tracked the suspect along Stoneridge Mall Road, and detained him after a brief foot pursuit. Officers uncovered the duffel bag containing an airsoft rifle, ski mask, and till containing roughly $230.

Officers discovered that the suspect, 33-year-old Mario Robinson from Richmond, was on active parole. Robinson was booked into Santa Rita Jail on armed robbery and parole violation charges.
