Cat Rescued From Irrigation Pipe In Pleasanton
Police and fire crews reportedly worked three hours to rescue the stuck cat, who could have drowned.

PLEASANTON, CA — It's probably not a great idea to travel into an irrigation pipe in the middle of an atmospheric river, but that's exactly what one Pleasanton cat tried to do.
Mochi got stuck earlier this week in a narrow pipe at the Promenade Apartments at 5300 Case Avenue in Pleasanton, and could have drowned if more rain water had accumulated. Teams from the Pleasanton Police Department and the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department worked for nearly three hours to free Mochi, according to a social media post. Mochi was eventually safely reunited with her owner.
If you see an animal in distress, call the Pleasanton Police Department main line at 925-931-5100.
