Colbie Caillat, Elton John Tribute Headline Alameda Co. Fair This Weekend

The beloved Alameda County Fair is bringing scores of talent to the region this summer. What to know.

ALAMEDA, CA — The beloved Alameda County Fair isn't just bringing pig racing, hot air balloons and fireworks this summer. This weekend the fair's big stage will be packed with major names and nostalgic tributes — Grammy-winner Colbie Caillat and a nostalgic Elton John tribute.

Fans of mellow pop born out of the Myspace era should mark Friday, June 27, for Colbie Caillat. The Grammy-winning artist behind hits like “Bubbly,” “Realize” and “Lucky,” Colbie has also ventured into country and collaborated with artists like Sheryl Crow.

Then, on Saturday, relive the early days of Elton John with the Elton John: The Early Years Tribute. This homage features Sir Elton’s classic sound and style, from his flamboyant early stage persona to piano-driven hits.
