Country Fest To Cure ALS
Jason Blaine, Josh Melton, & 3 local bands at Campos Family Vineyards in Byron Oct. 21. Zac Brown's John Driskell Hopkins in Modesto Oct. 2.

Exciting news, country music fans!
Mike Piscotty, dad of former A’s right fielder Stephen Piscotty, is promoting the 3rd Annual Country Fest to Cure ALS.
“The music will be off the charts and uplifting as we raise money for ALS research to cure ALS,” says Piscotty, president of the nonprofit ALS CURE Project.
The event will be held at two locations: Oct. 21 at Campos Family Vineyards in Byron; and Oct. 22 at the Gallo Center for the Arts in Modesto.
The Oct. 21 concert, the “Boots and Spurs Country Music Festival,” will feature three local bands, along with Nashville headliners Jason Blaine (“Dancing with my Daughter”) and Josh Melton. VIP tickets include a plated dinner with unplugged performances by Blaine and Melton, who have lost friends to ALS, a neurological disease sometimes referred to as Lou Gehrig’s disease.
The Oct. 22 Modesto event, dubbed the “Outlaw Country Concert,” will feature John Driskell Hopkins of the famed Zac Brown Band as the lead guitarist and vocalist. He will bring his seven-piece band. John was diagnosed with ALS last year.
VIP tickets include a pre-concert reception with food and an opportunity to meet John, Jason and Josh and their bands.

* The ALS CURE Project was founded in 2019 by Stephen Piscotty and his dad, Mike, in memory of Gretchen Piscotty, who passed away in 2018 from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), better known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease (www.alscure.org). She was a devoted wife and mother, and her legacy will live on through her husband Mike and their three sons, Stephen, Austin and Nick.
