Crash Closes a Lane of Westbound 580 Near Livermore
Big rig hits center divider, spilling load of fuel in fast lane.
Bay City News — One lane of westbound Interstate Highway 580 in Livermore remains closed this morning after a big-rig slammed into the concrete divider and spilled a few gallons of diesel fuel onto the road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The 3:20 a.m. crash occurred just east of the Livermore Municipal Airport and traffic is expected to delayed until cleanup crews can scrub the road surface of the spilled diesel fuel, a CHP dispatcher said.
No information on any injuries was yet available.
