Garage, Car Fire Extinguished In Pleasanton: LPFD
First Street reopened after a fire in a detached garage across from Lions Wayside Park, but police are asking the public to avoid the area.
PLEASANTON, CA — Crews extinguished a fire in the detached garage of a residential home on the 4300 block of First Street, across the street from Lions Wayside Park and the Firehouse Arts Center, Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department and the Pulsepoint app.
The fire broke out at 3:21 p.m. and was extinguished 5-10 minutes later, according to LPFD spokesperson Rosa Ramos. Ten engines attended to it, according to the Pulsepoint app. There were no injuries or signs of suspicious behavior, though Pleasanton police continue to investigate, Ramos said.
The Pleasanton Police Department said at 5:06 p.m. that the roadway reopened, but the public should still avoid the area as emergency crews clean up.
