The Fray To Play 2024 Alameda County Fair

The famed band behind "Over My Head" and "How to Save a Life" are coming to Pleasanton in June.

PLEASANTON, CA — Denver-based rock band The Fray will play the Alameda County Fair June 27, joining a growing list of high-profile performers.

The band formed in 2002 and achieved mainstream success in 2005-06 when their hits “Over My Head (Cable Car”) and “How To Save A Life” went platinum all over the globe. Both songs were nominated for Grammy Awards in Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group. Their second album “The Fray” also went platinum in the U.S., and won a 2010 Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album.

The Fray will join Bay Area rapper E-40, celebrated country and R&B singer Hunter Hayes, and “Twist on Taylor,” an ensemble with a live band, dancers, and a Taylor Swift lookalike singing the pop legend’s songs.
