Juneteenth Celebration Coming to Pleasanton

The Firehouse Arts Center Patio will host a storyteller and dance performances Saturday.

PLEASANTON, CA — Pleasanton will honor Juneteenth, the anniversary of the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation, with a free Saturday celebration at Firehouse Arts Center Patio at 444 Railroad Avenue.

The event will feature performances from the PUSD Step Team at 11:15 a.m., storyteller Brother Ben Tucker at 11:30, and African dance ensemble Cheza Nami at 12:30.

On the same day, Bankhead Plaza in Livermore is also hosting a number of performances from 10-4, which include numerous dance groups and choirs.

On June 21, the Bankhead Theater will host its second annual Juneteenth Celebration with a two-hour performance from the Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir. See here for tickets.
