"Kindness": The Writers' Spotlight
4th grader, Addison Fugate, writes about her perspective about being kind and how everyone should show kindness to each other!

If I could change one thing in my life
If there was one thing in my life I would change it would
be for people to follow the golden rule. Sure it seems like a
simple request. But really it is much harder than that. If we
start treating each other with respect and compassion
we can make a difference. It’s like if you dropped a stone
into a small body of water it would make ripples. If you
drop a stone harder it makes a splash! Kindness is like
that. A small act of kindness makes a ripple, a big act of
kindness makes a splash! You are never too small to make
a difference. So include everyone, don’t be a bully, be nice
and don’t exclude people from playing just because they
have a different skin color, or are a different gender. We
are all equal, young or old, we can make a change
together! So please make the world a better place with
me!
