As a two-term PUSD board member and two-time PUSD board president, I learned a great deal about what makes an effective board member and what is required to build a high functioning governing team. Donalyn Harris and Jenifer Flynn will be outstanding board members and will be essential parts of a team that will work collaboratively with district personnel, parents, students, and their fellow board members to keep our district on the right path.

Of the many qualifications both Donalyn and Jen possess, the one I appreciate most in both of them is their dedication to the district through extensive volunteer activities, including PTA leadership positions. I also appreciate their direct knowledge of our schools, especially as witnessed through their children’s experiences. They are both cognizant of the many challenges facing our district, especially financial, and I’m confident they will support pragmatic solutions.
Pleasanton voters should take note that both Donalyn and Jen are endorsed by most past, and sitting, PUSD board members, in stark contrast to their opponents. Especially glaring is the omission of Kelly Mokashi from those endorsements, a sitting board member who has repeatedly alienated district staff and board members through words and actions, including campaigning against our recent bond measure I.

The choice on these two board positions is clear – Donalyn Harris and Jenifer Flynn.
