Letter to the Editor: Jen Flynn For PUSD Board

Dear Pleasanton Readers,

I am excited to recommend Jen Flynn for the Pleasanton Unified School Board as the Area 4 representative. As a PUSD teacher, I’ve had the privilege of working with Jen in various roles over the years, always witnessing her unwavering dedication to supporting our schools and students. Seeing how she works, how she interacts with others, and what she gets done, I can confidently attest to her outstanding qualities that make her an ideal candidate.

One of Jen’s biggest strengths is her ability to see multiple perspectives and ensure decisions are made in the best interest of students, families, and staff. As she has been a member of our school district as a parent, worked directly for the district as an employee, and helped our schools in head volunteer roles, she has an incredibly unique view and can bring so much to the table. She always strives to find the right balance, which is a rare and valuable trait.

Her exceptional organizational skills are another reason Jen would be a tremendous asset to the school board. In her time as our school's Admin Assistant, she became a crucial member of our office team. She had a remarkable talent for managing complex projects and making them seem ever so simple. Her attention to detail ensured that nothing was overlooked and she had the complete trust of the entire school site to get things done and to get things done well.

Beyond her professional expertise, Jen’s warmth and friendliness helped her build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues, making her a natural advocate for the entire community. Her genuine care for people and desire to help others shines through in everything she does.
