'Paint Pleasanton' Set For Sept. 9-10

Get your brushes and canvasses ready! The annual event will bring local painters to spots around Downtown Pleasanton.

PLEASANTON, CA - Anyone who likes to paint, or watch others paint, is encouraged to register for the Pleasanton Art League’s Paint Pleasanton 2023.

The weekend of Sept. 9-10, local painters will take over historic areas around downtown to craft their latest masterpieces en plein air. On Sept. 10 from 3-4 p.m. at the Museum on Main, the public is invited to browse the works created. Local artist John Finger will select the Best of Show ($150 prize), two Merit Award winners ($100), and three Honorable Mention winners ($50.) Many of the works created will be available for purchase.

The Pleasanton Art League is also accepting submissions for its 16th Annual Fall Members’ Show, which will exhibit from Nov. 4 to Dec. 16 at the Firehouse Arts Center. Registration is due by Oct. 14.
