Pineapple Pumpkin Smoothie: Reader Recipe Of The Week
Patch reader Karen Owoc shared this lip-smacking good smoothie recipe, packed with protein.

Cooking with Courtney is bringing you another yummy smoothie recipe, courtesy of Karen Owoc. Owoc, a health educator, has packed this one with protein and all sorts of goodies.
Ingredients
- 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks
- 1 medium banana
- 1/2 cup organic pumpkin purée, canned or fresh
- 2 tablespoons organic chia seeds
- 1/4 cup House Foods® organic soft tofu
- 100% pure pineapple juice
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- Combine all of the above ingredients except ice cubes in a blender. Add pineapple juice to help liquefy.
- Add ice cubes to chill and to blend to a thinner consistency (if preferred).
