Plans Underway For Pleasanton's National Night Out
The annual event promoting police and community partnerships will take place nationwide Tuesday, Aug. 1.
PLEASANTON, CA — As summer continues to heat up, plans for Pleasanton's National Night Out are already under way with individual neighborhoods planning everything from barbeques and potlucks to block parties and residents wishing to have a representative from the Pleasanton Police Department visit their party will need to register with the city, Pleasanton PD said in a Tweet to the community.

National Night Out, when residents from around the city, along with thousands of others across the country, will turn on their outside lights, lock their doors, and spend the evening outside with neighbors and police, is celebrated by millions of people annually.
The event promoting police and community partnerships, will take part in Pleasanton and across the nation Tuesday Aug. 1.

"Pleasanton Police Department has enjoyed supporting these parties and partnering with our residents for over 20 years," Pleasanton PD said. "It is a great opportunity to get together with neighbors, enjoy a good meal and have an evening of fun."
