
PLEASANTON, CA — Pleasanton is accepting applications for various commissions and committees, which are open to Pleasanton residents over 18. Applications are due Aug. 26 at 4 p.m.
Applications are open for the following vacancies. An asterisk means that applicants do not need to live within Pleasanton city limits.
- Civic Arts Commission: 1 vacancy, regular member
- Energy & Environment Commission: 1 vacancy, regular member; 1 vacancy, alternate member
- Economic Vitality Committee: 1 vacancy each for the following representatives: at-large, commercial real estate*, life sciences*, commercial services*, professional services*
- Human Services Commission: 1 vacancy, regular member
- Library Commission: 2 vacancies, regular member
- Parks and Recreation Commission: 1 vacancy, regular member
- Youth Commission: 3 vacancies for middle school, 6 vacancies for freshman/sophomores, 4 vacancies for junior/senior
- Altamont Education Advisory Board*: Representative must be a Science, Environmental Education or Vocational Education teacher from the Pleasanton Public Schools.
If applying as an 8th, 10th or 12th grader, the term will be for 1 year only. If applying for all other grade levels, the term will be for 2 years.
