Pleasanton Fatal Stabbing Suspect Arrested: Police
A 27-year-old woman was arrested in connection with a May 2023 stabbing, despite initial reports that it was carried out by masked men.

PLEASANTON, CA — A 27-year-old woman was arrested in connection with a stabbing that killed a 32-year-old man in Pleasanton in May 2023, the Pleasanton Police Department announced Friday morning. Police initially thought that victim Edevion White was killed by two male suspects wearing ski masks, but in August, police announced that they received an important tip with new information, and put out a call asking for witness corroboration.
Kennedy Stith, 27, was arrested at her home in Oakland on charges of homicide, Pleasanton police announced. Police say that she and White knew one another.
White was found stabbed to death on the morning of May 1 at his home on the 5700 block of Owens Drive in Pleasanton. Witnesses initially told police they saw two masked suspects running from the scene of the crime, and White’s girlfriend said one of the masked men held her captive while he attacked her boyfriend.
