Pleasanton Man Attempted Suicide at Martinez Jail
The 21-year-old Pleasanton man, an inmate at the Martinez Detention Facility, is in intensive care after attempting suicide.

An inmate in the Martinez Detention Facility was placed in intensive care Thursday after apparently attempting suicide, a sheriff's spokesman said.
The 21-year-old Pleasanton resident was found unresponsive in his cell at 2:54 p.m., sheriff's spokesman Jimmy Lee said.

He was taken to Contra Costa Regional Medical Center. Lee did not disclose the name of the inmate or why he was in jail.
