Pleasanton National Night Out Registration Deadline Nearing
Residents can register events and receive visits from local police and leaders.
PLEASANTON, CA — The city of Pleasanton will participate in the annual National Night Out, an event designed to promote civic pride and take a stance against drugs and crime.
On Aug. 6 from 5 to 9 p.m., in Pleasanton and in more than 17,000 communities across the country, residents are invited to lock their doors, turn their porch lights on, and create and register events, from parades to potluck dinners to cookouts to contests to neighborhood walks and more. The city has been celebrating the event for roughly 20 years, and says it anticipates up to 30 different events.
Anyone who enters could receive a visit from any combination of the Pleasanton Police Department, Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department, or elected leaders.
