Pleasanton Organization Recognized by YMCA of the East Bay

One of Pleasanton's organizations and its people were recently recognized for their hours of volunteerism.
The Pleasanton Community of Character Collaborative's Joanne Gunson and Heather Rizzoli were presented the "You are the Difference" award by the YMCA of the East Bay at the organization's 134th Annual Meeting & Volunteer Recognition Awards Ceremony on Oct. 16.
The Collaborative is a non-profit organization of volunteers working together to create a Pleasanton community culture built on values, goodwill, and community-accepted traits of Responsibility, Compassion, Self-Discipline, Honesty, Respect, and Integrity, the program for the event said. This volunteer committee is jointly supported by the City of Pleasanton, Pleasanton Unified School District, Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce and various business, service and faith organizations.
