Pleasanton Seeking Dia De Los Muertos Ofrenda Altars

The Library and Recreation Department is asking the community for ofrendas to display, traditional altars to lost ancestors.

PLEASANTON, CA — The Pleasanton Library and Recreation Department is asking the community to contribute offends, traditional altars honoring loved ones on the Día de los Muertos on Nov. 1.

On this traditional Meso-American holiday dedicated to remembering one's ancestors, neighbors gather in local cemeteries to share food, music, and festivities with their extended community.

Ofrendas will be displayed at the Senior Center on Saturday, Nov. 1 from 12-3 p.m. The program is free and open to the public.
