Propane Tank Explosion Sparks North Livermore Fireball, Scares Dog Away
Holladay Court explosion was seen from neighbors up to a block away.

Firefighters on Monday evening contained a propane tank explosion at a residence on Holladay Court, near North P Street.
At about 7 p.m. firefighters were sent to the area for a report of a propane tank that exploded. The small blaze was quickly contained when emergency crews arrived.
The explosion could be seen up to a block away, said Capt. Paul Legasa, Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department.

The propane tank was overfilled and venting from its back, Legasa said.
"When they connected the tank to a barbecue grill it ignited," he said.

The explosion damaged the home's front patio area, surrounding furniture and an overhead cable line.
No injuries were reported from the explosion.
Firefighters also said a neighbor's Golden Retriever took off running from the area during the explosion and is now missing.
