PUSD School Board Members Endorse Craig Eicher for City Council

Four of the Five current school board members of the Pleasanton Unified School District are united.

Mary Jo Carreon, President of the board and trustees, Steve Maher, Laurie Walker and
Justin Brown have all endorsed Craig as their choice for the council.
Below is Craig’s brief statement regarding Schools:
“Our school district is considered one of the best in the Bay Area. I am honored to have
the support and endorsement of four out of five Pleasanton Unified School District
Trustees. That kind of support comes from my commitment to fostering a strong relationship
with the school district, one that is based on open communication and collaboration.
To ensure our students get the best education we can provide, I support:

An ongoing commitment to School Resource Officers and Crossing Guards

Improving safety protocols so students feel safe on campus

Community outreach programs aimed at improving cooperation between the city and the
school district.”

Eicher is a 32-year veteran of the Pleasanton Police Department. His community service over the years has included volunteering with multiple nonprofits, including serving as Board chairman of Hope Hospice for 6 years where he was instrumental in bringing their million-dollar budget deficit into solvency.
