"Spring's Disguise": The Writers' Spotlight

Ishmeet Dhillon springs forward with this poem about the beauties of her favorite season.

Spring’s Disguise

Flowers in bloom,
Dewdrops glistening,
New grass here and there,
The sun is beaming.
Petals in lush colors,
Birds singing,
Sprouts in different sorts,
Spring is springing.

Lively chirps,
Crisp coastal breeze,
Sun-drenched soil,
Making the ground unfreeze.
Fresh vegetables,
Flourishing fruits,
Vibrant and green hills,
Plants with growing roots.

We see with our eyes,
The spring landscapes,
The magnificently colored valleys,
Nature of different shapes.
We feel with our body,
A unique, fresh, comfort,
The warmth that blooms from within,
Like petals of all sorts.

Fresh scents,
And blue skies,
The palate of the clear sky,
During an early sunrise.
The doves, squirrels, and hummingbirds,
The rabbits, bees, and butterflies,
All coming out to play,
In spring’s beautiful disguise.
