Details For Annual Patriot Day Ceremony In RSM Released: What To Know
The event commemorates and honors those who died as a result of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, including one of RSM's own.
RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA — Mark your calendars, Rancho Santa Margarita — the city is hosting its annual Patriot Day Ceremony on Thursday, Sept. 11.
The ceremony takes place every year and honors those who died as a result of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
Among the thousands killed include one of Rancho Santa Margarita's own, 22-year-old Lisa Frost.

Lisa attended St. John's Episcopal School and was salutatorian at Trabuco Hills High.
At the time of the attack, she had just graduated as valedictorian from Boston University — where she died on Sept. 11 while turning home to her parents on United Airlines Flight 175.

Hers was the second jet to hit the towers that morning.
Rancho Santa Margarita residents can honor Lisa by attending the Patriot Day Ceremony from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 11 in the Civic Plaza, 22112 El Paseo.
