REDONDO BEACH, CA -- Police are issuing an alert Wednesday for a possibly suicidal man from San Diego after his car was found in Redondo Beach.

Justin Richard Sandburg, 35, lives with his father in San Diego and left his home in anger on Sept. 27. He has not been seen or heard from since then, police said. Sandburg has a history of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder and left without his medication.

He has a history of running away from home and checking into a San Diego hospital, but his family grew concerned when Sandburg's car was found in Redondo Beach, police said. The car was towed Tuesday from the 400 block of Esplanade.
