Smog City Begins Brewing in New Torrance Brewery
A look at what is happening on the craft beer scene in the South Bay of Los Angeles.

After five months of construction, Smog City Brewing announced this week that they have received all the final approvals from the City of Torrance to begin brewing operations at their new Torrance brewery.
"We are excited to officially join the South Bay's growing craft beer community and look forward to pouring our beers once again throughout the South Bay and Greater Los Angeles area," Smog City co-founder Laurie Porter wrote in an email to Patch.
Porter said that they brewery will begin brewing again this week and once they get things going, will announce a grand opening date for their in-brewery taproom and tasting room.Â

Because of the construction, Smog City's beers have been a little more difficult to find in bars across Los Angeles. Now that brewing can begin, Porter said the beers will be easier to find.
For those eagerly anticipating the opening of Smog City's tasting room, Porter said she will provide updates through the brewery's Facebook page and official mailing list.
