First Friday Night Farmers Market Cancelled Due to Anticipated Rain
Hankering for fresh produce and live music? Check out the Cotati Farmers Market — opening tonight!
Organizers for this summer's first at City Center Plaza have cancelled because of rain, they announced this afternoon.
The National Weather Service is predicting a 30 percent chance of rain in the morning and a 75 percent chance after 5 p.m. The Farmers Market will pick up Friday, June 10 and continue through Sept. 30.
If, like me, you were really looking forward to the market, check out Cotati's first Farmers Market tonight, now in its 10th year, at La Plaza Park downtown Cotati. It begins at 4:30 p.m., and lasts until 7:30 p.m.

Local vendors and producers will be selling fresh produce, cheeses, hummus, indian food, hot drinks, flowers, herbs, beer and honey, just to name a few offerings. Tonight will also feature a "cool car show" and music by The Moonlighters, a swing band from Santa Rosa.
