BAY AREA, CA — The Bay Area woke up to chilly conditions Tuesday morning, with overnight lows dipping into the 30s in some inland areas, according to the National Weather Service.
A cold weather advisory remains in effect until 9 a.m. for the interior North Bay and East Bay valleys, as well as the interior Central Coast. Overnight lows in those areas fell into the low to mid-30s. Elsewhere, temperatures dropped to the upper 30s to mid-40s at lower elevations and the upper 40s to low 50s at higher elevations.
Fog developed overnight in parts of Sonoma County, including the Russian River Valley and northern Santa Rosa, reducing visibility in some locations early Tuesday.

Despite the cold start, forecasters say temperatures will rebound later in the day as sunshine helps warm the region, continuing a pattern of cool mornings followed by mild to warm afternoons.
High temperatures range from the upper 50s to lower 60s in the San Francisco area and the East Bay, and the middle 60s to the lower 70s in the inland valleys.

High temperatures through the upcoming weekend are around 5 degrees above the seasonal average in downtown San Francisco, and around 8 to 15 degrees above the seasonal average across the rest of the Bay Area, according to forecasters.
