K-9 Sniffs Out 2.5 Pounds Of Crystal Meth In Sonoma County Drug Bust: Police
With the help of K-9 Duke, authorities found methamphetamine in a vehicle and two homes, according to police.

ROHNERT PARK, CA β A K-9 recently sniffed out 2.5 pounds of methamphetamine during a drug investigation in Sonoma County, according to police.
The sheriffβs narcotics unit stopped a vehicle around 7:15 p.m. Wednesday in Rohnert Park that was being driven by 66-year-old Thomas Hayes of Santa Rosa, who was under investigation for narcotics activity, police said.
Detectives executed a search warrant on his vehicle and two Santa Rosa homes and, with the help of K-9 Duke, authorities found methamphetamine in the vehicle and homes, according to police. Hayes had about 2.5 pounds of crystal methamphetamine, packing material, digital scales and over $2,000 cash, police said.

He was arrested and booked into county jail on charges of felony possession and transportation of methamphetamine for sale but qualified for no-cash bail and was issued a citation, according to police.
Also cited were 61-year-old Jimmy Hayes and 59-year-old Patrick Gooler, who were at one of the Santa Rosa homes that were searched, police said. They received citations for misdemeanor possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, according to police.
