Pepperwood Fire In Mendocino County 35% Contained
Hand crews are making progress, Cal Fire said, no structures are threatened, and the rate of spread is moderate.
MENDOCINO COUNTY, CA β The Pepperwood Fire in Mendocino County was 35% contained as of Cal Fire's latest update on Sunday morning, the agency said.
In an 8 a.m. report, Cal Fire said the fire is 12.5 acres. The fire started at 1:02 p.m. Saturday near Buck Mountain, north of Covelo in Mendocino County, according to Cal Fire.
Hand crews are making progress, Cal Fire said, no structures are threatened and the rate of spread is moderate.

The containment process is continuing with three engines, two water tenders and one hand crew, Cal Fire said. No injuries have been reported.
