SANTA ROSA, CA β€” Santa Rosa police officers are issuing warnings to businesses and individuals who are not complying with Sonoma County's shelter-in-place order that is meant to slow the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus, Chief Rainer Navarro said Friday.

As of Wednesday, a special enforcement team has issued written warnings to 40 businesses that remained open without authorization and to two individuals who were outside without a valid reason. Five people were issued citations, Navarro said.
