Rohnert Park Officer Injured In Crash With Red Light Runner: Police
A public safety officer was hurt Monday night after a patrol car was struck by a vehicle who reportedly ran a red light, authorities said.
ROHNERT PARK, CA β A public safety officer was injured in Rohnert Park after a patrol vehicle was struck by another driver who reportedly ran a red light at an intersection on Monday evening, authorities said.
Around 9:10 p.m., the officer was traveling eastbound on Rohnert Park Expressway in a marked police vehicle when the officer attempted to turn on a green arrow to drive north on State Farm Drive, the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety said.
As the officer made a turn, a silver Honda sedan traveling westbound entered the intersection on Rohnert Park Expressway against a red traffic light and struck the front passenger's side of the patrol car.

Both vehicles sustained damage and minor injuries in the crash.
