Rohnert Park Rejects Murray Claim on Wrongful Death of 2-Year-Old
The Murrays filed the claim against the city in mid-June, more than six months after their 2-year-old daughter was run over and killed in a Rohnert Park crosswalk.
The City of Rohnert Park has denied Jeff and Ling Murray's for the wrongful , who was run over in a Rohnert Park crosswalk Dec. 1.
The city has since c that determined the was unsafe, where Calli was killed by Katilyn Dunaway, who was using her cell phone and driving when she ran over Calli and her mother Ling.
Rohnert Park Patch, after a week's worth of requests to City Manager Gabe Gonzalez and the city attorney, received an official response today.

"We don't comment on issues that are pending litigation," Gonzalez said. "If there's going to be a lawsuit, we can't comment."
Jeff Murray, the father of Calli and husband of Ling, said he's unsure of what steps he and his wife will take next.

"Right now we're trying to evaluate what the right thing to do is," Murray said. "We've been told we have six months to decide."
"There's still a lot that we're trying to understand, but the most important thing is that the crosswalk is safer," he added.
Jeff and Ling filed two separate claims with the city in mid-June, both for wrongful death of their daughter, and Ling for another claim of severe, permanent personal injury. Β
