Sonoma County Apartment Complex Fire Damages Cars, Carport

BREAKING: An estimated $50,000 in damage was caused at the Santa Rosa complex.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA -- Three vehicles and a carport were damaged during a weekend fire at a Santa Rosa apartment complex, fire officials said.

The fire was reported at about 6 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 21 at 2371 Corby Ave., according to the Santa Rosa Fire Department.

Upon arrival, firefighters found a detached carport on fire. Three cars underneath the carport were also on fire, fire officials said.

Crews with fire hoses were able to bring the fire under control within about 20 minutes and prevented it from spreading to the apartments.

No residents were displaced and no injuries were reported, according to fire officials.

The officials estimated the blaze caused about $50,000 in damage.
