Suspect Who Allegedly Lured 14-Year-Old Rohnert Park Girl Is Described
Rohnert Park DPS authorities are asking for help in identifying a man who allegedly attempted to lure a 14-year-old girl into his car.

ROHNERT PARK - Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety officers are asking for help in identifying a man who allegedly attempted to lure a 14-year-old girl into his car last Friday on East Cotati Ave.
According to DPS authorities, the 14 year old was walking near the Taco Bell in the Wolf Den Shopping Plaza at around 12:45 p.m. on April 8 when a male in a forest green older model two door sedan with black plastic covering a portion of the rear windows pulled up next to her.
Officers say the male suspect offered the girl a ride and told her to get into his car.

The girl continued to walk into the parking lot of the shopping center and ignored him, according to authorities, and the male driver continued to follow her, telling her repeatedly to get into his car.
Police say after she walked up to a group of people in the parking lot, the male drove off.Β He was seen heading east on East Cotati Ave towards Petaluma Hill Rd.

Rohnert Park authorities say the girl said she did not call police during the incident because her cell phone battery was dead.
According to authorities, the subject described as being a heavy set white male in his 30βs or 40βs, with short brown hair and dark colored eyes.
The Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety is asking for the publicβs assistance in identifying the male suspect.
Authorities also want to remind parents to make sure their children know to never get into a car with a stranger and to immediately report if someone they do not know tries to lure them into their car.
