VIDEO: Oldest Building in Rohnert Park Destroyed

The former Southwest Fire Station was almost completely demolished by the end of the day Monday.

Editor's note: The old Southwest Fire Station demolition is being done by the Santa Rosa-based company DAMA Construction, according to Rick Pedroncelli, a senior engineering technician for the city. Crews said late Monday that they expect to take down the rest of the structure at 9 a.m. Tuesday. The city is paying $86,000 for the project.
