4 Rescued After Boat Capsizes Several Miles From Coast: Officials

The rescue occurred after a 32-foot boat was reported to have capsized off of Ocean Beach, authorities said.

SAN FRANCISCO — Four people were rescued Sunday off the coast of Ocean Beach in San Francisco, according to authorities.

Crews were responding around 9:30 a.m. to a report of a capsized 32-foot boat with people in the water three miles from the beach, the San Francisco Fire Department said in a social media post. All four people were rescued and in stable condition as of shortly after 10 a.m., according to authorities, who said the people who were rescued would be medically evaluated.

Responding agencies included the fire department, the U.S. Coast Guard, California Highway Patrol and the San Francisco Police Department, authorities said.
